Deborah Parrish has over 20 years of combined research, evaluation, and early childhood and parent education teaching experience. Since joining AIR in 1991, Ms. Parrish has managed and directed a range of research and evaluation projects for national, state, and local governments. Areas of expertise include early childhood education, school readiness, parent education, family literacy, child care and development, early intervention, staff/family partnerships, interagency collaboration and service planning, program quality improvement, and education finance and policy. Ms. Parrish has worked with a diverse group of stakeholders to apply research and evaluation findings to the implementation of effective practices in educational and prevention services settings. Ms. Parrish is a former preschool teacher and parent educator in a state-subsidized developmental preschool and parent education program.
