Heather Quick, Ph.D. has directed a number of research and evaluation projects at AIR, including several early learning studies for First 5 Los Angeles. As project director for the ongoing evaluation of the First 5 LA Family Literacy Initiative, Dr. Quick oversees a team at AIR and UCLA to assess the implementation and impacts of family literacy programs throughout Los Angeles County serving the early learning needs of children birth to five and enhancing the language, literacy, and parenting skills of their parents. In addition to work in family literacy, Dr. Quick also directs the First 5 LA School Readiness Initiative Outcomes Study, examining program impacts on both children and parents participating in School Readiness programs throughout Los Angeles County.
